The United Kingdom and Ireland have always guaranteed strong support networks for their American students and are considered trusted destinations as a result.
However, the Covid-19 pandemic has caused uncertainty for university decision-makers as the UK and Irish governments enforce new public health measures and risk management strategies that don’t include the next steps for US universities in the study abroad context.
Therefore, there is an increasing need to reinvigorate relationships with study abroad providers and International Education Organisations (IEOs) to facilitate new lines of communication. Only then can the UK and Ireland be considered the safe and secure environments that their history dictates.
