Acumen Welcomes Sagar Bahadur as Executive Director India and South Asia to Propel Growth and Innovation across these regions

Acumen, part of the Sannam S4 Group, is delighted to announce the addition of Mr. Sagar Bahadur to its dynamic team as Executive Director India and South Asia. 

In this key role, based in New Delhi, Sagar will be instrumental in driving Acumen’s services across India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka, exploring fresh ideas, cultivating new business strategies, and refining processes.

Sagar brings with him 15 years of experience characterised by transformative projects and pioneering strategic milestones across India’s international education ecosystem. His proven track record in the education sector includes outstanding achievements in establishing transnational education (TNE) and international articulation agreements and driving strong student recruitment outcomes, making him the ideal choice to lead Acumen’s regional efforts. As Executive Director South Asia, he will spearhead innovation, and ensure Acumen delights existing clients, attracts new partners, and secures top talent in the sector.

Notably, Sagar played a pivotal role in the successful launch of Gradstar Global Education in 2022, resulting in partnerships with over 50 international institutions. Previously he led and contributed to the establishment of multiple global campuses for the Amity Education Group, deploying his expertise in building TNE and articulation models across diverse regions. Sagar’s accomplishments extend to his innovative revamp of The University of Queensland’s India strategy and operations, setting a benchmark for similar projects in 2020.

His achievements have earned him prestigious awards, including in 2020 the “Indian BW Business World 40 under 40” and the “Philip Kotler” awards. 

Sagar’s commitment to excellence was further highlighted by his Leadership Commendation at the University of Queensland Annual Awards in 2021.

Sagar’s responsibilities focus on the delivery of Acumen University Partners Connect (AUPC), the firm’s winning value proposition driving positive outcomes for its partners  – combining brilliant basics with unique magic touches. 

With Sagar’s sector knowledge and networks, Acumen will rapidly enter into a range of new partnerships across India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, designed to underpin the most competitive go-to-market approaches for university academic partnerships and research, student recruitment and an ability to establish local institutional footholds in these regions.
