Acumen appoints Chirag Mittal as Senior Director – Operations & Transformation

We are delighted to welcome Chirag Mittal to Acumen as Senior Director – Operations & Transformation, based in New Delhi and working across our global business.

Chirag joins Acumen at a time of rapid change across international higher education. Universities are navigating changing student mobility patterns, new markets and delivery models, growing pressure on recruitment and financial sustainability, and the opportunities being created by AI and technology.

His role will focus on working with our teams and partners to develop the solutions and value-added services they need to respond to this changing environment — harnessing technology, AI, data and Acumen’s in-market expertise to solve real challenges and create new opportunities.

This will include accelerating innovation across our core platforms: Acumen Presence, our in-country representation and market development service; Acumen Impact, supporting recruitment, admissions and enrolment growth; and Acumen TNE, helping universities develop and deliver new models of transnational education and international partnership.

Chirag will also take on operational responsibility for Navi Japan, Acumen’s emerging integrated education and talent-mobility platform connecting India and Japan. He will help develop the technology, systems and operating model required to scale the platform, connecting education and skills development with workplace readiness, career opportunities and international mobility.

Chirag will work closely with colleagues and partners to understand emerging needs, identify where Acumen can add greater value, and turn those insights into new products, services and technology-enabled solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

Chirag brings extensive experience in strategy, transformation and operational leadership. He was previously Partner, Corporate Strategy at TC Global and has held senior roles with The Smart Cube and Evalueserve. He is an alumnus of @INSEAD and @IIM Ahmedabad and is also qualified in law.
