At Acumen, we pride ourselves on our global presence in the education sector and assisting institutions expand into new markets, which is why we’re proud to announce that this year we are gold sponsors of the Australian International Education Conference (AIEC) 2021. The AIEC will be taking place online this year due to current restrictions, but this event will be no less exciting and insightful than previous years, not least because one of our own will be presenting there.
The theme of this year’s event is new horizons in international education. As specialists in the expansion of international education institutions, this is a theme that’s close to our hearts. The conference will explore wide-ranging themes including sustainability in international education, the role that technology plays in the delivery of quality education, and the importance of support programs designed to help students to deal with trauma, mental health issues, and economic difficulties.
Leading the way in AI matchmaking
Our team at Acumen has been working on globalising international education for years. One of our most exciting developments has come from the work done by our very own Managing Director of Australia and New Zealand, Marnie Watson. Marnie, who helped spearhead the launch of the TNE Matchmaker in Australia and New Zealand will be presenting on “Transnational Education – where are we headed post-pandemic?” a subject tied closely with the product launch. The Transnational (TNE) Matchmaker is the world’s first AI-powered partnership finder. It’s a tool that can be used by schools and universities across Australia, New Zealand, South Asia, and Southeast Asia to search through thousands of courses and find best-matched partners.
It’s the goal of TNE Matchmaker to enable institutions across the world to establish cost-effective, impactful opportunities for international learning no matter what students are studying or where. With our help, universities and schools can reduce the cost of studying abroad, opening up this avenue for students. We believe that international learning is the key to progressive growth and global cooperation, and TNE Matchmaker is the first step to making international learning accessible to students everywhere.
Our recent work on the TNE Matchmaker, and Marnie’s upcoming presentation at the conference, reflect the importance of one of the key themes at this year’s AIEC: global challenges. The role of international education is to foster progress, collaboration, and tolerance between nations across the globe, and only by bridging these gaps between us and working together can we effectively tackle the global challenges that are ahead of us.
